Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai

Arrive Mumbai and after completing arrival formalities please proceed to the exit beaches tourwhere you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to the domestic airport for your flight to Jaipur.

Upon arrival in Jaipur known as the pink city, where the old city is surrounded by a massive wall pierced by magnificent doorways, you are welcomed and escorted to your hotel.

This afternoon tour this incredible city where the past is never far from hand. The Hawa Mahal or "Palace of Winds" provides an excellent view over the city as befitting its former role : enabling the ladies of the royal household to watch, unseen, the daily life and processions in the streets below. Explore City Palace, characterized by balconies, tiny windows, cupolas, courtyards and arched entrances. It now houses an excellent collection of Rajasthani costumes, miniatures and an armory of weapons. The Maharajah's observatory, originally built in the city's early years, first appears as a collection of abstract sculptures, but is in fact a collection of the huge masonry instruments for studying the movement of constellations and stars in the sky.

Day 02 : Abmer Fort Excursion

This morning's excursion will take us to Amber Fort. Amber was once the capital of the Mina tribes believed to be the original inhabitants of this area. History recalls the glory and wealth of Amber's association with the Mughals. Raja Man Singh was the Commander-in-Chief of Akbar's army and Mirza Raja Jai Singh was a powerful ally of Jahangir. You are transported back in time today, riding like royalty atop elegantly draped and painted elephants, up into the high mountain fortress of Amber, a superb example of Rajput architecture, with its complex of palaces, temples and ornate apartments. Once inside we explore the Palace of Mirrors, inlaid with millions of tiny glistening mirrors, the hall of Public Audience and the beautiful manicured gardens.

The afternoon is at leisure to explore this colorful town on your own or just relax and enjoy the ambiance and amenities available at your hotel.

Day 03 : Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra

This morning drive to Agra en route visit the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. This amazing city was built by Akbar the Great in the 16th century and was mysteriously abandoned 13 years later. The legend relates that Emperor Akbar was without a male heir and made a pilgrimage to this spot to see the saint Shaikh Salim Chisti. He foretold the birth of Akbar's son, later the Emperor Jehangir, and in gratitude Akbar named his son Salim. Furthermore Akbar transferred his capital to Sikri and built a splendid city. Later, however, the city was simply abandoned due to difficulties with the water supply. Today Fatehpur Sikri is a perfectly preserved Mughal city built at the height of the empire's splendor.

Arrive Agra and check into your hotel. In the afternoon explore the 16th century Agra Fort, with its battlements, apartments, gardens and halls of audience. Followed by a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal and witness the transformation as the monument reflects the warm glow of sunset. Built by Shah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal, the monument made of white marble is a fine example of symmetry, balance of design and traditional inlay work.
